Artist's Comments is a trendsetter! XD She made an Inuyasha piece called "Kagome Is", which is not only well-drawn and funny, but supports one of my favorite things--canon. Firestar loves canon and will always support that which is ACTUALLY IN CHARACTER. Anyway, the idea was contagious and other artists made similar pieces for other Inuyasha characters. Eventually, it spread to other fandoms, such as Metroid and The Phantom of the Opera. I believe  is doing a Danny Phantom piece, and she was nice enough to point me in the direction of 's "Character Is" journal, where she graciously leaves the project open to anyone who wants to participate. That can be found here: [link]So here's my "Sam Is" piece. I think Sam is a really cool character, so hooray for her. I also think canon is awesome. Hooray for canon! *throws confetti*. This was done in a B pencil and colored on Photoshop Elements, and it seemed to take forever, but Firestar had plenty of time this week to work on it, since she now is distinctly lacking a job. XD Thanks to for opening her project and giving me permission to do this, and thanks to for bringing it to my attention! Hooray for cool people. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I like most of it, but that's just because I'm anti-DxS.
But I liked that "Sam is NOT going to roll over and die..." bit--seeing some of the crazy (and very depressing) pictures certain Danny fanatics drew involving ways to kill Sam for Danny made me hopeful that a friend of mine would draw something in response to that.
Very nice job on drawing Sam, though. You are getting MUCH better at drawing her. But her fingers should be a bit more pointy, and her lips seem too big on this. However, this is a VAST improvement from your original pieces.

Please, Sam could take those fangirls any day of the week! *^_^* She'd cut through them like a pirate blade through crowds of conformists.
Thanks for the tips, I've always had a problem with Sam's mouth...it seems to be in constant motion and I can't get a fix on it...I hope to improve the hands in a picture of bigger scale than this one.
